Concept of Sales and Collection based on Route

An effective territory Route wise sales / collection plan is one of the most important aspects of FMCG sales and distribution management since it prevents wastage of time and effort.

Route wise sales / collation is generally familiar in Distribution segment whereas every products distributor can’t able to distribute the products in single day to all their customers in their territory/region. So, they use the Route/Beat wise distribution loading and distribution concept.

It’s simply called as grouping of customers as Route/Beat to ease the loading, distribution, collection, outstanding and analyse the business.

“Route/Beat” option in Saral 

Route is an option provided in Saral Billing  / Accounts for Distribution segment to generate Route wise Billing, Collection, Outstanding, Party Ledger Search, VAN loading, Items distribution, Billed and Unbilled Reports.

Configure Route wise sales/collection  in Saral

Route is completely related to Party Ledger and it has to define in Ledger Master.

Follow the below steps to define the Route:

1. Go to Master -> Ledger. Here select existing ledger/create new ledger details.
2. Then click on Address tab and press F9 shortcut key to create Route master.
3. Then enter Route name and click on Save button.
4. Then select the respective Route name in the list for the particular party ledger
5. And click on Save button to save the ledger.

Generate Route-wise invoice in Saral

Go to Inventory -> click on Sales Invoice. Here select the customer ledger. Then enter item details and click on Save button.

Filter route wise customers’ ledger in Saral

1. Go to Master ->General Settings. Click on Part Search tab and enable Route option.
2. Then go to Inventory -> Sales Invoice -> Customer. Here we will get Route column to filter customer list.

Generate Route wise VAN loading report in Saral

We can generate Route wise VAN loading report once sales invoices are entered.

Go to Inventory -> Reports -> Summary Reports. Click on Invoice/Route wise detailed option. Here we can select the respective Routes and click on preview to get the Route wise VAN loading report.

Generate Route wise Distribution report in Saral

We can generate Route wise Distribution report once sales invoices are entered.

Go to Inventory -> Reports -> Summary Reports. Click on Invoice/Route wise detailed option. Here we can select the respective Routes and enable Detailed option then click on preview to get the Route wise Distribution report.

Generate Route wise collection report in Saral

We can generate Route wise Collection report once sales invoices are entered.

1. Go to Home screen -> click on DOS reports OR Go to Accounts -> Reports -> Outstanding -> DOS Reports -> DOS Outstanding.
2. Then select Area option -> Route Name option in Area list.
3. Then select respective Routes. Select Receivable option, enable Collection Report option and click onPreview button to get the Route wise Collection report.

Generate Route wise outstanding report in Saral

We can generate Route wise Outstanding report once sales invoices are entered.

1. Go to Home screen -> click on Receivable by Balance option OR Go to Accounts -> Outstanding -> Area Wise.
2. Then select Route Name option in Area list. Then select respective Routes and click on OK button.
3. Here we can get Condensed, Detailed and Standard views.
4. Then right click on report and click on Quick Report/Excel report to generate.

Generate Route wise Billed and Unbilled Report in Saral

This report is very essential to analyse the Route wise sales that how many customers billing is done and how many customers billing is not done for respective Routes.

1. Go to Inventory -> Views -> Analytical -> Billed or Unbilled.
2. Here select the respective Routes and select Billed or Unbilled option and click on right button next to date.
3. Then right click on report and select Excel option to generate Billed or Unbilled excel report.
